|Munich Helles Lager – 4.7% a.b.v.
The session beer of Bavaria balanced on the malty side. The style is light in both color and hops, with a delicate flavor and a medium. Our first Helles brew was in spring of 2012 and was a grand success.
|Moat Cathedral Ledge Lager – 5.5 % a.b.v.
A Vienna-style lager.The big brother to our Pilsner, this beer is amber in color with a toasted and nutty body. Traditional German hops complete this well-balanced lager.
|Matilda’s Red Ale – 5.4% a.b.v.
Our version of a classic Irish Red Ale. Red to brown in color, unfiltered for a full-mouth feel, firmly bittered with hops making it a wonderful full bodied spring seasonal.
|Scottie's IPA – 7.0 % a.b.v.
Our version of a West Coast Style IPA. There are 12 pounds of hops in every 7-barrel batch, with a solid malt backbone to hold up to the bitterness and hop flavor. Bright amber with orange hues and a dense rocky off-white head. The nose smells of pine and grapefruit with earthy notes and a hint of tropical fruit. The roundness of the malt carries the flavors through this hop-forward beer. The bitterness is persistent to the dry, clean finish. 6% abv.
|Moat Oktoberfest/Marzen – 6% a.b.v.
a German-style lager. Endearing maltiness with biscuit and toasted malt notes, medium bitterness, amber in color.
|Smoke House Porter – 5.0 % a.b.v.
Our version of a robust porter, dark malt dominates the flavor profile, mouth feel is lighter than our stout, bitterness balanced to allow the specialty grains to shine. Winter Seasonal
Seasonal Heavy Gravity
|Moat Mai Bock – 8.0 % a.b.v.
A deep golden strong lager brewed using a traditional decoction mash where a portion of the grain bill is boiled and added back to the main mash. Longer aging makes this beer exceptionally smooth. Spring specialty
|Moat Bock – 8.5 % a.b.v.
A hefty lager brewed with a decoction mash. Deep bronze in color, medium bitterness with a bigger emphasis on malt than the Mai Bock. (Cold weather specialty)
|Moat Imperial Stout – 9.0 % a.b.v.
Our version of this classic export ale. We started with copious amounts of 2-row malt as well as imported roast, chocolate and black malts. Our hop bill of Chinook, Williamette and EK Goldings was also increased this year. With these changes, we anticipate an extended period of maturation and a longer window of peak flavor in the cellar. Look for this when we have the shortest daylight of the year!
|Moat Belgian Tripel – 8.9 % a.b.v.
A pale to amber colored Belgian inspired ale with yeast highlights of spice and fruit. The addition of Belgian candy sugars adds potency and crispness and a wonderful caramel tone to this seasonal ale.
